Children taking steroids for asthma are slightly shorter than peers ?

Children who use inhaled steroid drugs for asthma end up slightly shorter at their full adult height than children who don’t use the drugs, new results from a comprehensive asthma study show. The study’s senior author is Robert C. Strunk, MD, the Donald Strominger Professor of Pediatrics.

‘Remembering 9/11’ opens at Olin Library, runs through Sept. 30

“Remembering 9/11,” an exhibit featuring artifacts that reveal 9/11’s impact both then and now on the university and its members, is on view at Olin Library through Sunday, Sept. 30. University Libraries and American Culture Studies in Arts & Sciences will host a reception for the exhibition at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, in Olin Library, Room 142.

Lee M. Liberman, PhD, emeritus trustee and former chair of the Board of Trustees, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, in St. Louis. He was 91.

WUSTL faculty and administrators with ideas for improving the campus environment for women, members of underrepresented minority groups and other diverse groups are encouraged to apply for a Diversity and Inclusion Grant. Proposals are being accepted until Oct. 29 for program initiatives that strengthen and promote campus diversity.
